Step Outside is a complete resource for online learning through play.

Join the Adventure Welcome to the adventures of Togo & Nogo in their journey to bring a greater understanding of the importance of road safety. Aimed at Key stage 1 children the program is designed to encourage learning through play by the use of brightly coloured and highly interactive games and video modules. The Step Outside module is a flash based interactive environment specifically designed to emulate the daily lives of children and reflect the dangers faced every day at the roadside. Just click on Step Outside and you will be taken into the world of Togo & Nogo.

Who are Togo & Nogo? Togo & Nogo
"Too-go & No-go" are two award winning characters created for the Road Safety Team at Leicester City Council to help bring the safety message to the children of Leicester. Togo is the older and wiser character who takes on board the role of teacher to Nogo. Nogo on the other hand is a cheeky but inquisitive younger character who is keen to learn.

Printable worksheets and interactive games for kids to learn through play in their own homes This module is designed to promote the continuation of the learning process into the home environment. Children and adults can download and install key assets from the program and continue to learn through play. Parents can join in too!

Teachers resources As part of the Leicester Road Safety initiative, the resources section plays a key role in providing teachers with all the tools they require for the classroom and beyond. Available via the password protected resources section of this site are all the assets you need for your classroom programs including: Teachers guides, Records of achievement, worksheets, Lesson plans, videos and songs. There is even a download of the Complete Step Outside CD-ROM to install on your PC.
